Martin Resource Management Corporation (Martin)
is a leading independent provider of transportation, terminalling,
marketing and logistics management services for hydrocarbon products and by-products, chemicals, other bulk liquids, as well
as providing fee-based services. The company has a remarkable history of growth, dating from 1951, when R. S. Martin Jr.
began operations in Kilgore, Texas. It is a privately-owned family business with over 1,500 employees which has evolved
into a holding company for several operating subsidiaries, including: Martin Product Sales LLC, Midstream Fuel Service LLC, and
Martin Transport, Inc.
Martin's primary business focus is to:
- Provide truck and marine transportation, terminalling and logistics management for various liquid products;
- Market these products such as sulfuric acid, heavy and light fuel oils, asphalt, paper mill liquids and lube oils to wholesale, industrial and end users such as tugs, ships and vessels in the Southeast and Gulf of Mexico; and
- Provide services, such as shore base logistics, from terminals located to serve the Gulf of Mexico E & P business.
Transportation and Logistics Management operations utilize a fleet of trucks, trailers, inland tank barges, inland pushboats/crewboats, bulk liquid terminalling locations, as well as various equipment such as cranes, blenders, acid cutters, packaging equipment and other assets to serve our customers.
Products handled include sulfur, sulfuric acid, fuel oil, LP Gas, asphalt, chemicals, lube oils and other bulk liquids.
Customers include many Fortune 500 companies in industries such as petroleum, agriculture, petrochemical and utilities.
Martin's large, flexible and strategically located asset base enables it to meet customer demands and add value to these customers' core business. With a 24 hours, 7 days per week strategic central dispatch operation and facilities throughout the U.S., the company can, and does, rapidly respond to its customers' needs and requirements.
